Friendly Friday News. *This week we will finish our books in our reading groups. The two books we are reading are The Best Halloween Ever and Mad Scientist *In English we will continue to talk about nouns. *In Math we will finish up our Chapter 3. The students seem to be doing well with adding/subtracting two digit numbers. *In social studies we will talk about moving to a new home. *In science we will learn about food chains and food webs.
IMPORTANT NEWS *ALABAMA MAP EXTRA CREDIT IS DUE MONDAY! *PERMISSION SLIPS ARE DUE Friday, November 2. *IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT DO THEIR HOMEWORK AND RETURN IT THE NEXT DAY, THEY RECEIVE A ZERO. IF THEY ARE ABSENT THEN THEY MUST RETURN IT THE NEXT DAY. THIS WILL AFFECT THEIR GRADES.

Extra Credit - Social Studies I will provide a map of Alabama. Draw the major bodies of water. Include mountains, rivers, and any other important features. Label you map. On Monday the students will present their map to the class. 5 points
Special Project - All students must do. On Monday students will choose one Alabama Bat to make a point power on. On Monday - students must find where their bat lives. The northern, southern, eastern, western, or central Alabama. They need to write this down and bring it in to class on Tuesday. On Tuesday - students must find out what kind of home does their bat live in. The trees, plants, shrubs, buildings, and so on. They need to write this down and bring it into class on Wednesday. On Wednesday - students must find what foods their bat eats. They need to write this down and bring it into class on Thursday. Over the weekend students must find at least one way bats help humans. They need to write this down and bring it into class on Monday. On Monday - students must find at least one way to help save bats. They need to write this down and bring it into class on Tuesday. All the information the students need to bring in can just written down on lined paper. We will make the PPT in class. Thank you for your cooperation
